Besides, most of what these types of companies do can be done on your own. Call your CC and ask to speak to Customer Service. If you can’t get on a plan with them, then ask for the hardship department and seek help. I’ve known lots of people that have been able to get on 0% interest payoff plans with their CC without a dent to their credit report!
