It is E-Z to build a computer, harder to install the operating system and make it work! It actually takes about 12 easy steps to build a computer. Putting the hardware together will take you about 3 – 4 hours if you are being careful. But installing the operating system, all the updates and upgrades and all the software you want can take some troubleshooting (sometimes) and maybe 2 – 3 days of your time, depending on how much software you want to install. I have been building computers now for about 30 eyars…it used to be the reverse back in the old days, but now, putting the hardware together is what is easy. The first thing you want to ask yourself is – what do I want to DO with the computer. Sit down and list 3 reasons. If you intend to be a gamer or if you intend on doing a lot of video or audio work, then you can figure you need the best hardware or as good as you can afford.
