Yes, it is perfectly safe although you should take care to keep it away from eyes as it may irritate them. Bug Balm needs to be re-applied after swimming. You should also use with care on children as they can be more sensitive to smell. For very young children and babies, you may choose to dilute Bug Balm by mixing it with Bee Balm or Unscented Massage Balm.
