Is brown spotting normal at 5 weeks pregnant and recently had pelvic exam trying to remove IUD?

I had an IUD that could not be found, I was getting scheduled for removal surgically and found out that it came out on its own, but since the pelvic exam trying to find it 2 days ago, I have had brown spotting. I was told my beta level is hovering around 600 indicating about 5 weeks maybe.
