Is Brown Bag Party a Pyramid?
No. We are a network marketing company. A “pyramid” is a term often associated with companies that conduct illegal money-making schemes. Normally these schemes involve requiring new members to pay large sums of money, promising even larger payouts after they go and recruit more people that are asked to do the same. Normally, these illegal scams have no products or services associated with the company, just recruiting and exchanging money. Charles Ponzi is credited with developing the first “pyramid” scheme back in 1920. He spent the second half of 1920 and the latter part of his life in and out of jail.
