Is Britain losing the war against Afghanistan?

The British are not necessarily losing but they are not winning either they are doing a lot better than the USA in Afghanistan the fact s that the Taliban are normal civilians the British faced the same problem in Northern Ireland the IRA were dressed up and looked like everyday people and unfortunately the rulers cant do what they used to be able to do (Slaughter the population) the fact is as long as the British and Americans are not allowed to do **** in Afghanistan they will not make a difference

it not losing as in a sense that its gone disastrous like other wars but the british cant break the will of the militia and the war is proving to costly over a group which which does threaten but other ways must be found before it goes into stalemate with other sides willing to co operate or give ground but people giving dealing me en that militia have to wait while the Afghan can make a proper act and this is not helped by a corrupt government but it maybe the case where the future Afghanistan may just be them looking after them self

The war is going badly. The worse it gets the more the government looks around for scapegoats to blame. Iraq side tracked everyone and wasted the resources of the US and UK, resources that could have been used to win the peace in Afghanistan and get our troops home by now. The Taliban would have settled for less if the initiative had not been thrown away by the US-UK Governments. They wasted time, let the Taliban get stronger and now weep about it. They blew Al Qaida out of Afghanistan and didn’t seriously look for Laden with boots on the ground. Instead they sent then to topple Saddam. Blame anyone you want the fact is that they took their eye off the ball and are now talking about escalating before leaving. How confused is that?

This is not a War, its nothing more then a Game of Hide-and-Seek, World War 1 and world War 2, That was War, if the US is going to call this a War, then we need to stop worrying so much about the citizens, and take the Rules out of the Game and get the job done with out fighting with one hand behind our back.

Yes – and from day one. This whole so-called fighting terrorism/war which it really is – is a lost cause. The Russians tried it (years ago) and got their back-sides kicked with great loss of life – so why would the UK government even ‘think’ they could do any better. These ‘conflicting’ stories being ‘pumped out’ by the government as to the successful progress being made is a load of rubbish – the Taliban are still around (in strength) with no likelihood of them ‘ever’ being removed permanently – they just returning after these these ‘so-called’ special actions that seem to fail to do the job intended all the time. The only people who are going to win ‘anything’ in that despot country are the Taliban – they rule by ‘fear and terror’ – those being the strongest human ammunition needed. Its much more effective than the might of the western worlds technology – as its proving every day out there. These western governments are all ‘bogged down’ by fighting a HR war – that policy will win th
