Car thieves hit Bradford Place by Victoria Middleton Managing Editor Bradford Place residents are instructed to be on high alert after three cars were stolen from the housing addition in the last two weeks, local police said. According to Chief Gary Norman, police are investigating the thefts and have a vehicle description lead they are currently pursuing, but they are not releasing the information at this time. As for how the thefts are being carried out, the chief explained, “It appears that the suspect was dropped off in the addition to steal the cars.” He added that only one of the stolen vehicles has been recovered, and the other two are still listed as missing in a national database the department utilizes. In all three cases, the vehicles were left running by their owners with keys in the ignitions, Norman said. If anyone has any information on the case, they should call Newcastle Police at 387-5525.
