Is Boram Choe Yols daughter?
No, she’s not. Unlike in Ring (1998) and The Ring, in The Ring Virus, Choe Yol never had a relation ship with Hong Sun-Ju, so of course, Boram can’t be his daughter. Incidentally, he’s offering Sun-Ju some walnuts near the end of the movie, possibly because he would like to go onto a date with Sun-Ju at some point. This scene is similar to the same moment of Ring: Kanzenban, where Ryuji invites Asakawa to lunch – which is a friendly lunch, since both Ryuji and Asakawa are male in Ring: Kanzenban, just like in the Ring novel, but the lunch never occurs, since by the time the lunch should occur, Ryuji is already dead.
