NO. The Book Buddies program is not a substitute for tutoring. It is meant to be a fun and interesting recreational reading program that encourages Little Buddies to read books for pleasure and entertainment. Our Big Buddies are Junior High and High School students who volunteer their time for the benefit of the Little Buddies. Big Buddies benefit by having a positive community-oriented volunteer opportunity. This is valuable work experience for their portfolios.
