Is blue sky polarized, is the sun polarized? Blue light reflected from a glass table polarized?

0

The light coming directly from the sun is definetly not polarized. The light emitted from a blue sky is not polarized. Light reflected is polarized when it reached the Brewster angle, which is around 60 deg. The light from the moon, which is reflected, is polarized. Light reflected by water plans (sea, lake, rivers) is partially polarized. This is why the camera filters are helping to remove these reflections. Sun glasses have 2 effects. 1/ They are absorbing the light 2/ They are polarizing filter, leaving pass only one direction of light. It helps mainly for the light reflected on water.
