Is BitWise HIPAA compliant?
Because BitWise is only used for transmission of data (not storage of data), our access controls and logs of who is granted what rights (i.e. who has access to use BitWise and thus receive the data) is sufficient for HIPAA in most environments. That is to say, the information being transmitted over BitWise must come from somewhere–which would be your HIPAA-compliant environment; BitWise is only used for transmission, and our transmission encryption and access controls meet HIPAA guidelines.
