In addition, peak cylinder pressures and exhaust temperatures are reduced during bi-fuel combustion, which relates to lower engine wear. Bi-fuel engine testing has shown longer operating life along with opportunities for extended service intervals and reduced oil service costs when compared to a standard diesel engine.
