Is Benton County Exempt from Following State Laws?
Joe Kyle, a resident of Benton County, explained to a public forum how he was arrested after attempting to speak at the County Commissioners Meeting. “A funny thing happened Monday night at the county commissioners meeting. I stood and thanked the Mayor for letting me have my 5 minutes and was shot down right away by the Mayor for addressing the citizens when 7 of your commissioners got up and walked out of the meeting just prior to the public forum. I pointed out that the citizens needed to take a good look and remember who wasn’t in the room any more, that those are the commissioners that do not care about you, your children or the future of your families.
