Is being bisexual a cool thing to say for teens?
I’ll admit some people (usually girls) go around saying “Oh I’m totally bi” just cause they want the attention from guys. They think they’ll seem hotter just because they are bisexual and the guy will have some threesome fantasy about them. Personally, I don’t think a guy would chose to be discriminated against just to be cool, but if a girl admits it the guys will take it a lot nicer. Personally, I’m a gay guy, so I’m not like overwhelmingly insulted about it, but I think it sends out the image that being LGBT is a choice, when it’s clearly not. Girls can do bisexual stuff with a girl even if they feel no attraction towards the same sex.
No, actually I am flattered that they would do it. Also, if I may make a suggestion — there are two things: 1. actions — actions don’t make anyone straight, gay, or bi. Straight guys have sex with other guys all the time, it doesn’t make them gay.Likewise, closeted gay men have married and not slept with other men for decades, or even for life — that doesn’t change that they are gay. By the same token, I know straight guys who didn’t sleep with women until their 20s, and had HUGE amounts of sex with other bois (some of them when I was younger – with me, actually). That didn’t make them gay. This CANNOT be overstated. 2. feelings — these are what make people gay, or straight, or bi. If your desires and feelings are for other guys, you are gay, no matter what your actions say. Likewise the reverse (all of what I’ve written is from the male point of view.) Simply put, some of those who said they were bisexual may actually be bisexual, don’t be fooled by who they sleep with. Regardless
