Is being a Patient Care Tech difficult?

0

The course may be rather intense since a patient care technician (or ‘multi-skilled tech’) combines training for both a medical assistant (including phlebotomy/drawing blood, handling urine samples and performing ekg tests) and nurse’s aide and the job of a nurse’s aide, in and of itself, is supposed to be quite stressful. The nurse’s aide may have to deal with agitated and aggressive patients that have dementia (Alzheimer’s is a type of dementia) or other conditions and transferring patients (from the bed to the commode, for example) that are at risk for falling.
