Is BandSite.org for everybody?
Of course not! As hard as we try, nobody can meet everyone’s needs. We want to be upfront with you about our weaknesses. For one, we don’t allow customers FTP or shell access to the websites. This means that if you are a programmer, you won’t be able to edit files directly or upload your CGI scripts. Also, we do not offer phone support, in order to concentrate our efforts on outstanding email support, so if you hate virtual communications you may want to try someone else. One other important consideration is our design philosophy. We don’t believe in the overly flashy sites that are all too common for bands these days. They’re hard as hell to use and they only slow down your fans and potential fans. While Flash can be easily integrated into your BandSite, if you’re looking for an all-Flash solution, you’ll want to look elsewhere (or to reconsider it, for the sake of your fans :).
