Is badminton a popular olympic sport?
Popular is a relative term in regards to sports and Badminton is no exception. In some parts of the world it’s considered nothing more then a leisure activity while in others it’s as big or bigger then tennis. Badminton enjoys its greatest support from mostly South East Asian countries such as Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore as well as being the one of the four most popular sports in China. Hong Kong and South Korea would be other Asian countries that badminton enjoys a level of popularity. Outside of Asia Only Denmark has won a gold medal and Great Britain 2 medals.
