Is baby Einstein Really bad for the babys brain?
I have a different perspective regarding this matter. I am a nanny, and I have used Baby Einstein products (that the parents bought) with my charge. She’s six years old now, brilliant, and incredibly sociable. I didn’t just turn on the videos and sit her in front of them. I was sitting with her the whole time, and it encourages brain development through introducing stimulating imagery. I would point out things and say words out loud and encourage emotional response. These were great exercises stimulating for both of us because she had heart problems due to being born premature. Her parents didn’t really want her away from the house in her first year of life. Baby Einstein isn’t just videos, though. There are toys, books, and flash cards. These were among her favorites when she was a baby. There was one toy that had flashing lights, music and buttons you could press. This was her favorite.
