Is Babolat a good tennis racket ?
If we compare Babolat with other tennis racket than it is one of the best. I best technology is used in manufacturing it. It is a light weight and covers a large area. Any level player can use it. I also purchase a Babolat racket last month from from Planet Sports at very affordable price.
Babolat came out with it’s modern racket line(Pure Drive)in 1999(Europe), 2000(USA). By 2001 it was the most used frame by the top 100 pros men and women. The string grommet/frame technology was a real advance giving power with a soft feel and a big sweet spot. The other companies caught on and all have put out similar racket lines. So, yes, it is a good racket company and likely there is a Babolat frame that’s a good choice for you, but as a group, they tend to run a little lighter and a little stiffer than other companies, so most recommendations are for players at the 4.0 and up levels. Given the huge # of choices out there, I’d recommend a pro shop for the initial purchase especially if someone there is familiar with your game. These places will try hard to come close to the online prices. Specialty tennis shops are good as well and both the pro and specialty stores may let you demo several frames before purchasing.
