Is attendance at the Pre-Bid meeting mandatory?
Sometimes. Typically, we do not require that all interested contractors and subcontractors attend the Pre-Bid meeting. However, we do recommend and encourage attendance in order to answer any questions and provide any clarification necessary. Upon occasion, we do require attendance at the Pre-Bid meeting and the site walk-through if the project is in a restricted or secure facility or is particularly complex. For those projects mandatory attendance will be clearly noted in the advertisement for bids and instructions for bidders.
