Is astrology type of religion?
It is not necessary for a person practicing astrology nor the person for whom a consultation or interpretation is given to be of any particular faith. Nor, to the best of our knowledge, is the practice of astrology actually forbidden in any major faith (although some choose to interpret their doctrine differently). In fact, many of the major religious texts have positive references to the practice of “looking to the stars for guidance”. At one time, many religions believed that the movements of the heavenly bodies was a way for God or the Gods to communicate with the people on this planet.
