Is astrology a primitive, archaic and superseded world view?
Most astrological ideas were developed during various scientific dark ages. The probability is that these ideas were not well understood by their developers and practitioners, but are partial views of a more complex and defined subject which is, in fact, the study of meaning in time using the planets of our star system as guideposts which are symbolic of parts of consciousness. Notwithstanding this, some apparently static techniques of astrology which are actually dynamic, such as Horary and Mediaeval Profections are regarded by many as highly accurate astrological tools (As an aside to this answer. While many rationalists would suggest that Aphrodite, Thor and other olde worlde gods are also outdated concepts, astrologers might suggest that this is a fundamental misunderstanding of what or who Aphrodite and Thor actually were (or are). They most certainly are not the same type of principles as Jehovah.
