Assassin’s Creed 2 for PC is a single-player game and contains no multiplayer component (neither local nor over the Internet). The terrible DRM (Digital Rights Management, a.k.a. anti-piracy) component of the game however, requires you to be connected to the Ubisoft verification servers at all time during the play. Disconnecting from the server will interrupt your game and you won’t be able to continue until you are connected again.
