It’s not striking me as a particularly wonderful name, but I wouldn’t call it awful. It’s unique but not totally offensive in its uniqueness, as so many unique names are.

I LIKE ARABELLA BETTER BUT ARIBELLE OR ARIBELLA IS ALSO VERY UNIQUE. I THINK ARI IS A CUTE NICKNAME.

I like Arabella better, and I think Ari is a cute nickname. Just because the original name doesn’t have an “i” in it doesn’t mean you can’t call her that…there isn’t an “i” in Kathleen and a lot of people with that name go by Katie. Aribella looks a little off, I’d stick with the usual spelling. Besides, it’s your kid, you can nickname her whatever you want!
