Is architectural engineering a mixture of designing and constructing a building?
Architectural Engineering involves all the specialties concerned; Civil, Structural, Mechanical, (Heating & Plumbing), and Electrical. (For projects of any significant size, the Architect co-ordinates the work of his hired, sub-contractor, specialists in these fields.) The Architect, and his sub-contracted Engineers usually also supervise construction to assure compliance with plans & spec.s, once that stage is reached.
