Is ARCCA mainly aimed at science and engineering research?
ARCCA services are intended for all researchers with a need for advanced research computing tools and techniques. Initially, many service users are expected to come from “traditional” high-end and advanced research computing users. However, increasingly we are finding applications from a wide range of research disciplines, including architecture, archaeology, dentistry, economics, medicine and optometry. Further information is given in the area. It is exciting to work with researchers in all fields, and to find new and interdisciplinary applications of advanced research computing techniques in both “traditional” and “new” areas of e-research. Indeed, many of the biggest leaps in research will come from the new and interdisciplinary fields where these techniques have not been previously applied.
