Is AppleGate Academy a religious school?
We are not a religious school. We believe it is important for children to understand and accept that different people, different cultures and different religions have different beliefs and traditions. The children at Applegate learn the importance of acceptance and understanding of all religions, all cultures and all races. We do not teach any religious beliefs at school. We honor the traditions of all the children and families in our program. We believe in the importance of family traditions and holidays in strengthening the connection between home and school. We plan activities to reflect the diverse cultures of our group and to foster respect for their cultures. All preparations involve children in hands-on activities. Kids are invited to explore the special objects and foods that reflect different traditions. We encourage each of you as families to join us in our celebrations.
