I think it is. It’s far more user friendly than Microsoft, in my opinion. Also I find their hardware to be of higher quality and their software is more secure and works better for what it does. Something I’ve noticed is that everytime Windows comes out with a new operating system, they seldom have anything “new” that Apple hasn’t already done. Most times they tend to take things Apple has done/has been doing for years and makes their own version and claims it as something new and exciting…when if you’d just spent a little bit more $$ and gotten a Mac in the first place, you could have been enjoying certain features for years 😉 Even when they do come out with cool new operating systems, there are still tons of problems with them. My husband spent nearly $1500 to have a PC custom built for him, and he’s only had it for a few months but already it crashes on a fairly regular basis…my Mac never locks up 😀 If you’re a gamer, Windows is probably better simply because Windows/Microsoft

In looking at it from a typical end user perspective, and ease of use, I am accustomed to Microsoft, and prefer it. I was all excited to get a hand me down apple laptop from my father that had OS8 on it. I couldn’t do a thing with it… couldn’t figure out how to look at what was on my hard drive, all my programs are not Mac programs and I was not going to re-purchase them for Mac, so it was a very slim, simple paperweight. I favor compatibility. I want to take a file, whether its a video file, a song file, a document, whatever the case and take it from one computer to another and not have compatibility issues. With Windows based PC’s being the most prominant I have a greater likelihood of getting that. I despise proprietory systems like Apple. Although I believe the iPod is the best thing Apple has ever produced… that is the extent of my desire to be associated with Apple. I have 4 PC’s at home, all Microsoft and to throw an Apple in there doesn’t fit my compatible requirements. I s
