Is anyone watching the Coronation Street adoption storyline?
It upset me at first with the line that in a year’s time they could have a baby. When the character Claire pointed out that it was more likely they would be able to adopt an older child out of foster care because it was harder to adopt a newborn then I thought they had done a bit of research. Still don’t like the storyline much BUT if they keep it to real life maybe it will help to educate people that adoption isn’t that easy and it isn’t always about adopting “cute little babies”.
