Is anyone taking progesterone pills while pregnant and having nausea?
Don’t stop taking the pills. Pregnant ladies have nausea or morning sickness, anyway. It comes with the territory. The nausea usually stops by the second trimester. More importantly, the progesterone may be preventing another miscarriage. There are other forms of progesterone that you can try which you may find easier to live with, such as progesterone suppositories or Crinone gel, both of which are applied vaginally. My doctor had me taking progesterone injections which I had to learn to administer to myself. Were you ever told why you miscarried that time? Were you told that you had luteal phase defect? If that’s what you have, some form of progesterone is necessary. Ask your doctor for a blood test to see if your serum level of progesterone is within the normal range for a lady who is six and a half weeks pregnant. And hang in there. Your doctor isn’t likely to have you taking progesterone for the entire pregnancy. Good luck. I hope that this helps.
