Is Anyone Taking High Blood Pressure Medication?
My nurse practitioner just started me on 12.5 mg. Hydrochlorothiazide for high blood pressure. But I am reading the side effects and one of them is that if you have diabetes, you need to check your blood sugar because this medication can mess with your blood sugar and you might need to adjust the dosage/or your diet. As a disclaimer, I am not asking for medical advice at all on this forum, I am just curious if any of you take this medication, and if you experienced changes in your blood sugar readings, for better or worse. Note that I am not diabetic, but prediabetic, so this concerns me greatly. Thanks in advance for sharing your stories.
