Is anyone more deserving of heaven than a dog?
I agree, if there is a heaven, and there is a God who controls who goes in and who doesn’t, most dogs deserve their place over there than humans do. They have all the traits you mentioned. You stated that they are loving, but what is even more commendable is that their love is more unconditional than most humans, even close family members. They forgive quickly, and don’t seem to hold grudges for long. Mmm…that would almost seem to be the virtues that Christ mandated for his followers, but which they almost never follow. No wonder, when you spell the term dog backwards, it actually spells god.
