Is anyone excited about the start 2009 baseball season?
I gotta be honest. I’ve been a baseball fan since I was 6. But this year all the money talk and steroids talk and all the bad sportsmanship people show ALL the time in the guise of supporting their teams have me thinking that baseball is on it’s way out. People will tell you that revenues are up, but so what? The Superbowl, March Madness, and the Indy 500 all attract more viewers and viewers who are more avid, too, than any baseball event. The All-Star game has become a bigger joke than anything in Pro Wrestling. I’m pretty depressed about it. The fan base for baseball is as artificially pumped up as the accounts the big banks had. I might warm up to it later, but this year’s start hasn’t meant much so far.
