I don’t have a favorite. They both have slightly different missions now. It is like having a window on Mars. We can take pictures, measure temperature, analyze rocks. They are amazing machines. They have fulfilled their missions and then some. I am not knowledgeable enough to know if further use of the rovers only returns redundant data or not. I would error on the side of discovery. After getting the same results back for 20 rocks in a row, the next one may be completely different. I wouldn’t shut the window to Mars just because I haven’t seen anything new lately. I applaud taking the chance of sending one of the rovers into a crater. It has a greater chance of getting stuck, but I think there will be a greater chance for discovery also. The dust storm forming on Mars may do them in. It will block some of the sunlight that powers them, and could damage them with blowing dust. But we may have the opportunity to receive first hand data on Martian storms, rather than satelite or telescop
