Is anyone else having problems installing the newest MSN Messenger Live?

When I try to install the newest version of MSN Messenger Live, it tells me it cannot be installed until I upgrade to Windows XP. I have had Windows XP on my computer for years, validated properly every time I have downloaded other software from MSN. Any advice on how to solve this problem would be much appreciated. Many thanks in advance.
