Is anyone else getting tired of media and people over-dramatizing celebrity deaths?
John, I too am tired of the media hooplah over Michael Jackson, but at the same time, I’m grateful that there is nothing worse on the news. The fact that the Michael Jackson story is still a major lead means that there are no terrorist attacks, killer natural disasters, accidents/tragedies involving plane crashes, train accidents, or other catastrophes. If the Michael Jackson case is the best thing the news can find to drum up ratings, we’re all pretty lucky. Confucius say, “Be careful what you wish for, wish may be granted.” Let’s be careful about wishing away news coverage about Michael J, because whatever news eventually pushes MJ out of the headlines will almost certainly be bad news.
