Is anyone else as utterly THRILLED with Project Gutenberg as I am?”
My only complaint about Project Gutenberg is that every time I find an awesome old book that I want to contribute to the project, I find that it is already there. They are a wonderful, WONDERFUL project and deserve some sort of government grant or something. For anyone not familiar with them, Project Gutenberg is a project where a large group of volunteers takes public domain books and get their content online in a text file. Many old books are still useful, historically important, or entertaining, and it’s important to preserve these books in a digital format while we still can. In a text format, they can be searched, they can be read by the disabled, and they can be used for a wide variety of interesting projects. Project Gutenberg is nothing but good people who are working to preserve out culture, and I have nothing but good things to say about them.
