Is anyone a marine biologist?
I am a graduate from a BSc. in Marine Biology and Zoology and am currently looking to do my Masters. First off, if you are worried about money, marine biology is not for you. Marine biology is a job you have to do for the passion, not the money, mainly because the money is pretty bad most of the time. Just how bad is it? Well it does vary, with a lot of experience you can eventually work your way up to better paying jobs, but you are not going to make a lot of money starting out; quoting another marine biologist: five years after finishing my PhD I was making slightly less than a beginning manager at McDonalds.
