Is any English used in the immersion classroom?

0

Yes, during the English portion of the day. In kindergarten, first and second grade, there are a number of specified minutes in which your child will be exposed to many activities that develop English oral language skills. Your child’s teacher is bilingual, but s/he will only speak Spanish in front of the students. If the children know their teacher speaks English, they will wait for the English and will not focus on the second language instruction being given by the teacher.
