Is anti reflective coating on glasses somthink you can get it somehow put in the lense?
True lens coating requires the lens to be heated to a high temperature almost to the point of the glass being ‘plastic’ then introducing the coating material as a vapour. This embeds the coating into the glass structure. This sequence of heating, coating and cooling slowly (to avoid stresses in the lens) was needed for every layer of coating until Pentax invented a coating technique that could multi coat without having to cool the lens too much, speeding up the process. Many materials have been tried for lens coating over the years, walnut shells were used successfully in the early days as was burnt bamboo and paper, but nowadays its usually one of the feldspars. Its never metal in a photographic lens, the idea is to reduce the glass’s reflectivity so more of the light passes through the lens rather than reflect from it which would cause lens flare and internal reflections. Its unlikely that a local repair shop would have the necessary ovens or expertise to do this. They may offer some
