Is Anne of Green Gables really that popular?
Our journey today takes us north to the land of Green Gables. The only reason I mention it is because it seems such a bit part of PEI history. We went browsing along the Gulf of St. Lawrence coast and immersed ourselves in the story whether we wanted to or not. There is quite a bit to see without the whole Annie thing. There was real estate and scenery and even the odd bit of wildlife. I’ve never actually been close enough, or fast enough to photograph a Great Blue Heron before. Today that all changed. I don’t know if it’s the scarcity or lack of opportunity or what, but I always believed this was a difficult thing to photograph. We started the day out at a boardwalk tourist trap in Cavendish. There were plenty of shops and places that were willing to relieve us of any cash burden we might be carrying. We noticed though that there weren’t many local artists represented at the establishments. Although I don’t have anything against imported souvenirs, if I can buy it in Regina, why would
