Is angel eyes good for removing dogs tear stains?
Angels eyes is very effective at preventing stains. It does not get rid of existing stains, they have to grow out or be cut away, or you need to use a tear stain remover. Although it is rated highly I suspect that most users are not aware that the active ingredient is an antibiotic called tylosin, nor are they aware that it is illegal to use this antibiotic on dogs with out a vet prescription as it has never been officially approved for dog or cat use use. On average it takes about 4 weeks to start working but you cannot use it constantly. There are safe and natural alternatives which are free of antibiotics that work as well but take a little longer to work.
