Ancestry Family Tree is not directly compatible with PAF 5.0. Additionally, GEDCOM files created using PAF 5.0 may not be compatible if the file was created using the UTF-8 character set. GEDCOM files that include the UTF-8 characters will not import directly into Ancestry Family Tree. To create a GEDCOM file that will import successfully to Ancestry Family Tree, you will need to select to export your GEDCOM from PAF 5.0 using the Ansel character set.
