If you were an early adopter, a letter was provided indicating that a one-time modification would be required to the KAC 503 FIS module located inside your KMD 550 or KMD 850 to display encrypted products. This upgrade must be performed at a qualified Bendix/King dealer and should take less than one hour. To minimize aircraft downtime, an exchange unit will be provided.
