Is an RSS news feed the same thing as a weblog or “blog”?
No. Growth House does operate a blogging portal, but it is not the same service as our RSS news feed. The term “weblog” (or “blog”) is a general term for a web page where short articles are organized by date and time. Blogs usually consist of short items and web links that are updated often. Blogs are used for many publishing purposes including personal journals, group discussions, traditional journalism, user feedback services, and various combinations of all of these forms. Blogging is becoming increasing popular as a method of rapid content sharing among ordinary folks because many of the blogging tools are easy to use and eliminate the need for web masters. The distinction between weblogs and RSS can become blurred for two reasons. First, some weblogs offer RSS feeds as a way for readers to keep aware of changes. Second, some weblogs incorporate RSS feeds into themselves.
