Antique rugs are good investment because they increase in value since they are getting harder to find and getting to be very rare. When you buy an oriental rug today, it will always be worth what you paid for, but probably more. Over the centuries oriental rugs have become treasured heirlooms passed from one generation to the next. No new rug can achieve the look and feel of an old rug, which throughout the decades have become fine like wine.
