Is an online college education as good as an on-campus college education?
Most research shows that, yes, online post-secondary education is as effective as on-campus education. Both types of programs are held to similar standards. In general, professors of online courses must meet the same career requirements as professors of on-campus courses. Course content is often identical between online and classroom courses as well. While the coursework is similar, online education and classroom education can develop different skills–students in online courses may develop comfort with technology and independent learning while classroom students improve face-to-face interaction and social skills.
