Fids3 currently uses the Internet to gather weather data, synchronizes its server time and transmitting emails and SMS (if the SMS gateway is licensed). Also the remote supervisor software which is coming with the Hewlett Packard servers, enables us to check/monitor the server and Fids3 system functionality from a remote site accessing it using the Internet.
