Is an Intel Acer Extensa a good type of laptop?

Yes. I personally own an Acer Extensa. Great Laptop. I purchased for about 500 (plus shipping) 2gb of ram 200Gb HD and a AMD 64 x2 TK-55 processor. A dual core from intel is the Central processing Unit (CPU) it basically performs all the computing, Intel is a top brand and Dual Core is the latest technology out there at the moment there are variable speeds seems you might want more info and compare to other prices/specs you see around the market. There is wireless capabilities with mine, as I’m sure it probably would be with yours. In my opinion you need to find out this from the seller to be 100% sure. Dont forget to find out about RAM Hard drive space, Dvd writer, video card, Operating system (you should be getting XP or Vista nothing less) etc… for 450$ you should be getting what I’ve got possibly better. Good Luck.
