Is an ACM that requires external drive electronics acceptable?
The external drive is OK, but if there is a need for conversion to something exotic (really high voltage or frequencies), it may be viewed as a disadvantage. If the conversion is likely to be inefficient, the efficiency has to be included in the COP. A Proposal Abstract is the best way to get specific feedback on an idea like this.
